Sharing Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Thinking
Digital Infra Network is committed to connecting high level influencers and decision makers who design, build, own and operate all forms of digital infrastructure, with solution providers who have the technology and know how to reduce the industry’s carbon footprint.
One of our clients recommended Concealed to the Digital Infrastructure Partners, who reached out to see if we could implement a virtual event platform that needed to be built on short-notice and then expanded over time. As the collaboration evolved, we ended up creating a full re-design of the platform, for a fresher, more on-brand visual.
Before & After
The platform’s redesign gave it a polished, lighter look.
Digital Infrastructure Partners was looking for a website upgrade that had the existing logo as its color foundation. This meant working with purple and orange, to which we added white and light grey colors for contrast and clarity.
Work Sans is a delicate font from a big font family, which allows for more dynamism in the pages while maintaining a clean look: the perfect choice for a news-related platform!
We created a visual identity with slightly irregular circles that represented the connectivity between all elements present in the network: Speakers, Partners and the Talks between them.
Once we defined the project’s design elements, we created the design system: the set of reusable components that could be assembled together like puzzle pieces to build new, consistent looking pages within the same style.
This project had a very short timeframe for the MVP (two weeks) so we needed a framework that was simple to use but had powerful builtin features for the project specifity. We chose to work with a Nuxt.js framework powered by Vue.js language that we connected to WordPress's API to manage Articles, News and Opinions. The stack was completed with a custom Ruby on Rails backend with personalized features such as partners management, talks with sessions connected to Twitter API and powerful analytics with custom reporting for partners.
The homepage needed to feel more alive: we added sections for upcoming events, featured articles, and latest news and opinions, for a more dynamic feeling.
It was crucial that all relevant event information was easily accessible at all times.
Articles, News and Opinions about digital sustainability: each an essential type of information that needed to be highlighted in an individual way.
In a platform with so many rich resources, the implementation of a search results page with filtering was essential.
Every page is consistent with the defined structure and graphical elements, creating a seamless navigation experience.
All pages were designed and implemented to be fully responsive so that users in different devices all have the best possible experience.
A fresher, more modern platform that better structures and displays Digital Infra Network’s sustainable information.
